Position Summary:

The Health & Safety Manager (H&SM) manages, directs, monitors, and coordinates all policies, programs, and activities covering employee environmental, operational, and occupational safety and health conditions. Leads, surveys, assures, and enforces company compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to safety and health.Responsible for investigating safety violations and recommending and implementing preventative safety programs. Develops safety systems, procedures, and training for employees and leaders. In a similar manner, as assigned, participates in and assists in fulfilling, solving, and completing environmental compliance issues. Support activities include: continuous improvement and employee involvement activities, team building, health and safety education, implementation of best practices programs, and training.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive safety programs
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
• Manage Workers’ Compensation and MOD rate goals
• Lead safety training, meetings, and employee education programs
• Ensure compliance with air, water, and waste regulations
• Coordinate with OSHA and regulatory bodies
• Promote safety awareness, wellness initiatives, and continuous improvement

Qualifications:

• 5+ years in a manufacturing environment; foundry experience preferred
• 3+ years in Environmental Health & Safety administration
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in safety technology a plus
• OSHA certification preferred; ASQ and Hazwoper training a plus
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
